Manchester United 'Doing Everything' In Their Power To Sign Jadon Sancho From Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho could reportedly be the subject of an £80m bid from Manchester United in the summer, according to reports.

Manchester United have shifted their complete attention to the highly rated Jadon Sancho after reports suggest that the club are "doing everything" they can to sign him.

The 18-year-old winger has been thriving at Borussia Dortmund this season and has also attracted the attention of Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the London Evening Standard reports that the Red Devils believe that a figure of around £80m would convince the German club to sanction the sale.

A United source told the newspaper: "They are doing everything they can to sign him."

Manchester City sold Sancho to BVB in 2017, but unlike the transfer of Brahim Díaz to Real Madrid back in the January transfer window, the reigning Premier League champions did not include a similar clause in the England international's deal.

With the hurdle of an 'anti-United clause' clear in a Sancho deal, it would mean that the Red Devils would not have to pay any of the transfer fee to their rivals.

A move to Old Trafford could very much appeal to the former City youth player, especially after his comments on Marcus Rashford last week.

The Dortmund star, who has previously said that he wants to follow in Ronaldinho's footsteps, praised the 21-year-old United forward and PSG's Kylian Mbappé, who have both inspired him to push harder in his career.

"Luckily enough, I've got great people around me to keep me grounded and humble," he told Dortmund's official YouTube channel.

"I'm grateful that I've got them around me telling me I'm not doing enough -- there's the likes of Mbappé doing crazy things at PSG.

"They are the kind of people I need to compete with as he's so young and so am I.

"That always pushes me when I see Mbappé and Marcus Rashford doing well because I know they are probably looking at me and seeing what I'm doing and it's probably pushing them.

"It's good to see other young players doing well."
