Three Clubs Are In The Race To Sign Luke Shaw

Can you imagine the left back at any of these Premier League/Championship clubs?

In the months before his devastating injury against PSV in the Champions League, left-back Luke Shaw was arguably at the peak of his career, producing consistent performances on a regular basis.

But the former Southampton defender has understandably struggled to retain any of that form after being out with a terrible double leg fracture.

Now, it looks like the 21-year-old is ready to find regular first team football and reports suggest that three clubs are all competing for his signature.

According to The Daily Star, Shaw wants out of Manchester United and Premier League sides Southampton and Crystal Palace want to sign the 'wantaway' star.

Rafael Benitez also wants the left-back at St James' Park in the summer, and will join the race if they are promoted to the Premier League.

The report states that both Premier League sides are willing to pay £15 million for Shaw, which would mean that Manchester United would lose out on £12 million.

Back in 2014, Shaw joined the club from Southampton for £27 million, making him one of the world's most expensive teenagers.

Back in February, despite his apparent indifference to the young left-back, Mourinho stated that Shaw's future remains at Old Trafford and that he has no plans to sell the £30m man.

"No, no, no. He will be here for sure, that is out of the question.

"What I think is that he had a very ugly injury, really, really ugly and the fact is not just the physical point of view but also the mental impact on him.

"So this season he has had a couple of small injuries and he needs to adapt. He knows what I like in a defender."

Do you think Shaw needs time to recapture his once brilliant form at Old Trafford, or does he need to move on?
