He has won 17 trophies during a 13 season spell with Portuguese giants Benfica but even at the tender age of 35-year-old, Luisao is ready to make yet more history with Championship side Wolves.
That's right - In an extraordinary turn of events, Wolves will reportedly offer £100,000 per week to lure the experienced defender to Molineux in arguably one of the craziest transfers in recent years.
According to Portuguese journalist Goncalo Lopes, the deal is very close, with Wolves looking to offer Luisao a two-year deal worth a reported £3 million per year.
Sports paper OJOGO featured the 35-year-old on Tuesday's front page with the headline: 'Luisao says goodbye to the light,' in reference to the club's stadium.
As you can imagine, Wolves fans couldn't quite believe it:
But some were far from convinced
Crazy times we live in.
