After Neymar's world record £198m move to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month, Barcelona are on the lookout for a new attacking player, but who will replace the 'N' is 'MSN'?

Whether Barca will be able to replace Neymar in terms of talent and scoring power is another debate, but it looks like the Catalan giants are already making moves to try and replace the 25-year-old.

Ousmane Dembele's name has been thrown into the mix, with Borussia Dortmund informing Barcelona to stump up £135 million if they want to sign the pacey French winger, according to Sky in Germany.

But another attacking talent has been linked with a move and it may come as a surprise to many.

According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Barcelona are willing to trigger Marco Asensio's £72 million release clause.

The 21-year-old impressed in Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid side last season, scoring 10 goals in all competitions, and Los Blancos' bitter rivals are ready to make a shock bid for Asensio in the coming days.

Compared to a deal for Dembele of Dortmund, the Spanish international would come 'cheap' at £72 million.

In addition, Barcelona feel he is attainable because they can offer him precious game time, according to the report,

With Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema and possibly Kylian Mbappe in their ranks ahead of the new season, Asensio may struggle to make a breakthrough in Zidane's plans next season, with Isco also in the form of his life.

We understand why Barcelona are interested in the 21-year-old.

During Spain U21's comfortable 5-0 win in their opening group game of the 2017 European Championships, Asensio opened the scoring with a sublime 30-yard effort in the first half, before adding another two particularly special efforts in the second half.

Asensio produced a performance that many described as world class.

If you haven't seen his impressive hat-trick back in June, then you need to watch the below clip:
