Tottenham's summer transfer window may have been pretty uneventful thus far, with the sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City the only deal of note to involve the North London club over the past two months.

That may be about to change, however, with Spurs seeking to secure three new players before the transfer window closes on 31st August.

Chairman Daniel Levy has already held talks with Ajax over Colombian defender Davinson Sanchez, who the Amsterdam club are keen to hold onto, offering him a new deal worth £60,000-per-week.

However, last season's Europa League finalists will be hard pressed to keep Sanchez with Spurs expected to offer £35 million for the 21-year-old.

Also on Pochettino's shopping list is Ross Barkley, who's future at Everton has been a source of constant speculation throughout pre-season, with Toffees manager Ronald Koeman confirming in interviews that he believes the 23-year-old midfielder's future lies away from Goodison Park, with Barkley refusing to sign a new contract with the Merseyside club.

While Chelsea are also being credited with an interest in the England international, according to the Telegraph, Spurs believe they are in pole position to land the attacking midfielder, with a bid of £25 million thought to be enough to secure his signature. Everton are also close to finalising a £50 million deal for Swansea City's Gylfi Sigurdsson, which will speed up Barkley's departure.

Celta Vigo youngster Pape Cheikh Diop is believed to be the third target of Pochettino's, the Telegraph reports, with Lyon also interested in the 20-year-old midfielder.

The Senegal born youngster, who has represented Spain at U18 and U19 level, made 22 league appearances for Celta last season and is rising in prominence as one to watch for the future. Given Pochettino's track record with developing youngsters, a move to Spurs would seem like a natural fit for Diop.

On top of this trio, Spurs are also on the lookout for another forward player to lift some of the goalscoring burden off Harry Kane's shoulders, although with Erik Lamela and Son Heung-Min to return from injury, that isn't seen as much of a priority as the other areas Pochettino wishes to strengthen.
