Ryan Giggs knows Manchester United more than most, so when he speaks, people often listen - but will Jose Mourinho agree with his latest comments?

It seems the former Manchester United winger, who played at Old Trafford for 24 years, wants Jose Mourinho to sign Arsenal winger Alexis Sanchez in the summer transfer window.

Sanchez's future at Arsenal is certainly in question following a topsy-turvy season under Arsene Wenger, and former United assistant Giggs believes the Chilean would be a perfect addition at Old Trafford.

Giggs said: "[He's] a brilliant player. His work rate, the effect he has on his team-mates, a winner."

Giggs then went onto claim that Sanchez would give teammates a lift:

"He just looks how South Americans are, tough aren't they. Yeah. Jose Mourinho bought [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic because he is a winner.

"He's won everywhere he's gone. Not only the effect on the pitch but off the pitch as well.

"You can just feel that Sanchez would give his team-mates a lift." he said via The Manchester Evening News.

Sachez's future has been up in the air for some time.

According to Starsport, Sanchez is growing frustrating of the clubs lack of progress and is keen to seek a move elsewhere.

And the reports also suggest that the 28-year-old will be pushing for a move back to Spain's La Liga with Sevilla.

That's despite interest from the likes of Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, to name but a few.

It's believed Sanchez is eager to work alongside former Chile boss Jorge Sampaoli who is performing wonders with Sevilla.

The bad news for Arsenal fans doesn't stop there. Sanchez has reportedly notified his Gunners' teammates about his decision to move.

Meanwhile, Sampaoli and Co. are flying high in the La Liga, sitting third behind Real Madrid and Barcelona but just three points off the top.

Not to mention beating Leicester City 2-1 in the first leg of their round of 16 Champions League tie.

Interesting times ahead.
