Almost a week after Manchester United decided to scrap their interest in Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata, another Premier League side have agreed terms with Los Blancos to sign the 24-year-old Spanish forward.

Antonio Conte is on the verge of bringing Morata to Stamford Bridge after Chelsea announced on social media that a deal has been done and the move is now subject to him agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

The former Juventus striker will join the club for a reported €80 million, but the figure has yet to be confirmed.

The 24 year old was Madrid's second top scorer in the league last season.

He bagged 15 goals throughout the campaign and considering he started only 14 games in the league and a further five in other competitions, that is pretty good going.

Shortly after Chelsea had published a statement indicating that both clubs had agreed terms, a number of Real Madrid players expressed their feelings towards Morata's move, including Real Madrid captain and international teammate Sergio Ramos.

Ramos expressed his sadness at Morata's departure, saying: "Moratoski, all the luck in the world. Enjoy your new stage and still getting goals as you do. You will be missed. @AlvaroMorata."

Real Madrid midfielder Isco has took to social media to send Morata a message after Los Blancos and Chelsea agreed terms.

Isco said: "Brother, you're leaving now... I'm going to miss you so much. I just hope you are happy and find everything you deserve. I love you."

Real Madrid also released a statement about the impending future of Alvaro Morata, saying: "Real Madrid C. F. and Chelsea FC have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Álvaro Morata, subject to the player completing his medical.

"The club wishes to express its thanks for the dedication, professionalism and exemplary conduct displayed by the player over the years, spanning his time in our academy right through to his spell as a member of the first-team squad."

Is Chelsea the right club for Alvaro Morata? Will he be a success in the Premier League next season?
