Barcelona's derisory offer for Paul Pogba sent social media into overdrive including a brilliant Tweet from Rio Ferdinand which instantly went viral.

So, about Barcelona's deal for Manchester United's Pogba.

The La Liga champions have been linked with his services ever since the Frenchman raised gold in Russia.

Mino Raiola is believed to be working on a move away for his client with the English transfer window slamming shut on Thursday at 5 pm.

And United reportedly received an offer from Barcelona which included cash and two players.

Barcelona tabled a deal worth €50 million and Yerry Mina, who has been linked with United, as well as Andre Gomes, another player the club are prepared to bin off.

This morning, it remains the talk of the transfer window with Ferdinand taking to social media.

"Don't you dare allow this ED... #MUFC is Pogba's home!! Silence these rumours ASAP & get @AlderweireldTob through the door," he posted on Twitter.

A cheeky mention of Spurs' Toby Alderweireld, too. The Belgium defender continues to be heavily linked with a move up north.

United are reportedly in discussion with Spurs over his sale ahead of a £60 million transfer.

Jose Mourinho is hellbent on drafting in a defender with Leicester City and England hero Harry 'Slabhead' Maguire also mentioned.

Ferdinand wasn't the only former United player responding to Barcelona's joke of a bid.

Anyway, as alluded to, there's just two days left for United to do any business; in or out.
