Manchester United have thrown a massive spanner in the works today, testing Arsenal's resolve with a reported £25 million bid for wantaway winger Alexis Sanchez.

Sanchez, who has been linked with a move away from the Emirates for some time, was almost odds-on to join his former manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

But Jose Mourinho's side have apparently made a last ditch attempt to sign the 29-year-old after City offered £20 million for the player this month.

The 29-year-old's contract at Arsenal expires at the end of the season and it looks likely that he will move in the January transfer window - but where will he go?

As is typical of the modern day game, people have noticed that Alexis Sanchez's agent Fernando Felicevich has recently followed Manchester United on Twitter.

Does it actually indicate that Sanchez is interested in a move to United?

Who knows, but plenty of United fans are getting excited by the prospect of Sanchez joining the ranks at Old Trafford.

Where do you think Alexis Sanchez will be playing his football at the end of January?
