Memphis Depay left England in 2016 by heading to Lyon and last season, he enjoyed a prolific term as he bagged an impressive 19 league goals.

He's looking superb this season, too. He's got goals and a bunch of assists. 12 to be precise.

And while he knows Lyon is a big club, he recognises it's 'not one of the five best in Europe'.

The 24-year-old harbours ambition of plying his trade at the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich not to mention Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester City.

"Lyon is a big club, but not one of the five best in Europe," he said.

"I want to go to a club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich.

"I want to go to a city that suits me and a club that suits me, to a team that really wants to play football, I always talk about Real Madrid, a royal club, white shirts with gold, but I focus on now at Lyon and then we see where I end up."

Who wouldn't want to play for Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern?!

Though the Dutchman admitting he'd be open to joining United's rivals City won't go down well with their fans.

Depay, meanwhile, is contracted with Lyon till 2021 after signing a four-and-a-half-year deal in January 2017 for £17 million.

Will he return to England's top flight? Watch this space.
