Will he stay or will he go? The future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been up in the air in recent weeks, but Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has dropped the biggest hint yet about his next club.

Zlatan was released by Manchester United in June after a serious knee injury against Anderlecht in the Europa League ruled him out until early 2018.

Since his release, a number of clubs have expressed an interest in the 35-year-old striker, including LA Galaxy.

In a press conference ahead of their US Tour friendly against one of Zlatan's many admirers, the subject of his future was brought up once again.

Mourinho said that the door is open for Zlatan to return to United after his recovery, saying:

"If the decision is to stay and wait until December - he can't be back until them - why not wait? We are speaking and changing ideas."

Mourinho also went onto speak about new signing Romelu Lukaku during the press conference, admitting that he was 'difficult to get' this summer:

"He is from the Premier League. Obviously there are other good strikers in football, but the Premier League is a very specific habitat. A difficult habitat for strikers and normally they need some time to adapt, but Lukaku has been in the Premier League for five seasons."

The Manchester United manager finally spoke about how Manchester United need more players in the summer window:

"We need more. We wanted four - 50% of the job is done. We need two more players, at least one. Everything is so difficult."

Do you think Zlatan can recapture the form of last season after such a huge injury?
