The January market is in full flow with deals flying in left, right and centre.

And while transfers have been completed including Philippe Coutinho's £142 million switch to Barcelona, the usual suspects continue to dominate the rumour mills.

Alexis Sanchez's whereabouts at the end of the window remains a huge talking point. Will Manchester City finally get their man? Well, Kevin De Bruyne's comments are pretty ominous.

Another player who's been subject to plenty of interest is Villarreal's Cédric Bakambu.

The French striker is enjoying an impressive campaign, netting nine goals in just 12 La Liga games.

Premier League duo Spurs and Newcastle United have been keeping an eye on Bakambu, but the 26-year-old has snubbed their advances, opting to join Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan for a huge fee, if you include tax obligations.

What's more, the club have acted swiftly to replace his services.

Meanwhile, Bakambu has already said goodbye to his Villarreal teammates.

"I've already said goodbye to my teammates. I'm hoping that everything will definitely be resolved between the two clubs as that is all that is left before the move is processed," he said via Independent.

As well as the two clubs agreeing, his move is also subject to a medical.

What's your take on the transfer which is set to be finalised? Let us know.
