Although the transfer window has just closed shut, reports have linked Jose Mourinho with a rather predictable move for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.

Griezmann's performances at the European Championships left much to be admired and after French teammate Paul Pogba made his move to Manchester this summer, many have linked the 25-year-old to make the move as well.

A number of reports, including an exclusive from Bleacher Report, believe Jose Mourinho is looking at Griezmann as a potential long-term replacement for Wayne Rooney.

Mourinho has already spent nearly £150million on four players at Manchester United in recent months but he's apparently already looking to add more firepower next year.

According to the reports, Mourinho expects Griezmann himself to push for the move.

Bleacher believe a deal for Griezmann could happen in 2017 but what do you think?

Will he go and if so, is it a sensible move for both parties?

Let us know your thoughts.
