Aaron Ramsey is the latest Arsenal first teamer to see his contract wind down to its latter stages and his existing deal will see him leave the Emirates Stadium at the end of next season.

The 27-year-old Welshman is a mainstay in Arsene Wenger's side and has become efficient as a goalscoring midfielder throughout his career.

According to reports from The Mirror, London rivals Chelsea are planning to ignite a stunning raid for the Gunners ace.

Ramsey has admitted that there has been no movement with regards to a new deal and Antonio Conte's side could look to exploit that by making a swoop in the summer.

The central midfielder has racked up 322 appearances since he joined the North London club 10 years ago, scoring 55 goals and supplying 55 assists in return.

Manager Arsene Wenger invested a lot into Ramsey as a youngster and he has won three FA Cups to date, but injuries have certainly halted his progress at times.

He now appears to be somewhere back to his best and his stunning hat-trick against Everton in February was a huge sign of that, while he also starred on Friday night as his side eliminated AC Milan in the Europa League.

Chelsea picked up centre-forward Olivier Giroud from rivals Arsenal in January and it appears they are once again looking to get one over on their rivals.

The Blues do already have an overload of midfield options in their squad in the shape of Cesc Fabregas, N'Golo Kante, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater and Ross Barkley.

However, the reigning Premier League champions are about to lose their crown to Manchester City and it would be no surprise to see them invest heavily in the summer as owner Roman Abramovich rarely stands still for long.

Should Ramsey switch London allegiances? Would he force his way into Chelsea's midfield?
