Just 24 hours after bagging one of the best free-kicks you'll see this season, Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement in principle to sign Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira in the January transfer window.
After an impressive start to the season, Diego Simeone's side have moved quickly to sign the highly rated Torreira.
According to Football Italia, they will reportedly pay a hefty €40 million to secure his services.
The 21-year-old, who moved from Pescara to Sampdoria in 2016, has been compared to Marco Verratti.
The PSG star also started his career at Pescara, eventually joining PSG to become one of the best midfielders in world football, and his rapid rise to the top resembles Torreira's impressive start to life in Serie A.
Torreira has scored two goals in 11 for Sampdoria this season, building on his impressive 35 appearances in the 2016/17 campaign.
