He may be turning 34 in January, but Arjen Robben could still end up cutting in from the right onto his left foot and twatting a shot right into the net at a Premier League ground near you, this season.

The Dutchman, who spent three years in the Premier League with Chelsea between 2004 and 2007, winning two league titles, an FA Cup and two League Cups, has one year remaining on his contract with Bayern Munich and, according to the Mail, the Champions League winner may have a suitor in England.

A reunion with Jose Mourinho may be a possibility, with the Manchester United manager still looking to add more width to his squad, having seen a move for Internazionale's Croatian winger Ivan Perisic stall over Inter's insistence that Anthony Martial was included in any potential deal.

Mourinho still wants to bring in one more signing before the transfer window closes in two weeks and, having coached Robben at Stamford Bridge, the Portuguese manager may be keen to work with the 33-year-old again and could sanction a bid for the former Real Madrid and Chelsea man before 31st August, should a deal for Perisic indeed be dead.

Gareth Bale had been touted as a possible signing for United, with Real Madrid targeting Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe this summer, but with Los Blancos failing so far in their bids for the 18-year-old French forward, it is believed Zinedine Zidane will want to keep Bale as part of his forward line, with Alvaro Morata already departing the Bernabeu, this summer, joining Chelsea in a £58 million deal, last month.

With Bayern looking to rebuild under Carlo Ancelotti, following Phillip Lahm's retirement at the end of last season, the Bundesliga champions may allow Robben to depart the Allianz Arena as well, rather than losing him on a free in just under 12 months time.

Robben almost joined United back in 2004, before he eventually chose Chelsea, with United fans furious over the move, blaming Peter Kenyon, who swapped being chief executive at Old Trafford for the same position at Stamford Bridge, where he then signed Robben for the Blues after a move to United broke down.
