With news that Arda Turan could be set for 12 years in prison, we're harking back to one of his craziest moments on the pitch.

Back in January 2015 when playing for Atletico Madrid against Barcelona, his future employers, the Turkey international was so incensed that a foul didn't get given when Dani Alves tackled him, that he threw his boot at the linesman after it came off.

It just about missed him but it could have been very dangerous. Somehow, Turan got off with a yellow card and avoided retrospective action for his conduct, which came in a game where Atleti had both Gabi and Mario Suarez sent off.

A few years on though and Turan clearly has not learned to control his temper. Earlier this year, he was sent off for shoving a linesman when in action for İstanbul Başakşehir.

He came on as a substitute in a crucial clash against Sivasspor in a game Basaksehir were leading 1-0 until stoppage time rolled around and the hosts scored an own goal in the 93rd minute.

Turan's frustrations increased and when a decision didn't go his way, he lost the plot and was deservedly given his marching orders.

He just doesn't seem like a very nice fella, does he?
