So, about Cristiano Ronaldo wanting to leave Real Madrid. Marca have revealed the reason why the Portuguese wants to leave Spain.

Reports from Spain's A Bola have detailed Ronaldo's desire to leave the Bernabeu. He's reportedly made an 'irreversible' decision putting clubs around Europe on high alert.

It's not the first time this week Ronaldo has dominated the press. Earlier in the week, Spanish prosecutors filed a lawsuit against him for alleged tax fraud.

The 32-year-old has allegedly defrauded Spanish authorities of €14.7 million for three years between 2011 and 2014 by knowingly using a 'business structure' to hide how much he was making from image rights.

And according to, once again, Marca they claim Ronaldo wasn't happy with the clubs board in a recent meeting following the reports of the alleged tax fraud.

"Ronaldo expressed his annoyance and outrage at the treatment received regarding the complaint from the Prosecutor's Office concerning the player's alleged tax fraud," per the Spanish outlet.

The club did release a statement once the news broke but Ronaldo feels the club have failed to support him during this ordeal. While a Portuguese journalist even reports that 'Ronaldo doesn't feel protected by Madrid.'

"Real Madrid CF shows their full confidence in our player Cristiano Ronaldo, who we understand has acted in accordance with the legality regarding compliance with their tax obligations. Cristiano Ronaldo has always shown since his arrival at Real Madrid CF, in July 2009, a clear will to fulfill all his tax obligations.

"Real Madrid CF is absolutely convinced that our player Cristiano Ronaldo will prove his total innocence in this process. Real Madrid CF hopes that the Justice will act as quickly as possible so that its innocence can be demonstrated as soon as possible.

Needless to say, Real Madrid are hoping it's a knee jerk reaction though are attempting to calm him down as they hope to call upon his services for next season.

Further reports claim that England, France and Italy are viable options with the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain and AC Milan all possessing the financial muscle to lure Ronaldo to their respective club.
