The One Major Issue Fans Have With The FIFA World Cup Extension

It's annoyed plenty of fans...

The official World Cup update finally arrived to FIFA 18 yesterday and though the response has largely been positive as it's been a load of fun to play, there's one particular issue that gamers have with the free extension.

It contains the official 2018 World Cup mode as well as FIFA World Cup Ultimate Team - the latter mode coming with a slew of all-new icons who have lit up the tournament over the years.

All 32 qualified nations are on the game for you to play out the tournament yourself before it gets underway on 14 June, while you can even add in the likes of Chile, Italy and the USA with a Custom tournament if you fancy.

Moreover, the 12 Stadiums are all featured, as is the official trophy and match-ball - with the graphics and broadcasting courtesy of the Frostbite engine taking the game's realistic feel to a whole new level.

However, what has really disappointed FIFA enthusiasts, is the fact that the squads differ from the group of players who are representing their nations in Russia.

Jack Wilshere, Andros Townsend, Michail Antonio, Joe Hart, Theo Walcott , Michael Keane, James Ward-Prowse and Jermain Defoe are all in the England squad for starter despite none of the them even being on the standby list, while there's several players included in Gareth Southgate's travelling party that aren't featured.

It's not merely exclusive to England though, Colombia and Argentina's squads are a bit of a mess and Alvaro Morata is still in the Spain squad. It's annoyed a fair amount of gamers, who have taken to Twitter to air their views:

With no ability to change the squad yourself, we really need EA to get it together and provide an update for squads sooner rather than later...
