The Rajko Mitić Stadium stadium, which is also referred to as 'the Marakana', is known for its hostile atmosphere. And part of the package for opposition teams when they come to the Serbian capital to play Red Star, is the tunnel walk like no other.

Arsenal had to experience it last season, Napoli travelled there last month and now Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool side will have to contend with it prior to tonight's Champions League clash.

Bloody hell! Frightening as fuck, that is. Anyone who walks down the gritty, graffiti-heavy, run-down tunnel without a chill or shiver is probably not human.

The armed security waiting in the tunnel is surely not a sight that away players want to see and then you are greeted by thousands of crazy Red Star fans to top it off.

Red Star are the most inferior side in Group C given they are in there with Liverpool, Napoli and PSG. They've picked up just one point from three games so far but their special kind of atmosphere is a very, very useful tool and can make it incredibly tricky for the opposition.

Marko Grujić, a former Red Star Belgrade player now on loan at Hertha Berlin from Liverpool, has highlighted just how crazy the tunnel walk is - and says he's keen to find out what his Liverpool colleagues think of it after the game.

"To walk down there and to see the police in the tunnel and the graffiti and all these things, it is pretty incredible," the 22-year old told Neil Jones from Goal.

"And then you can hear the noise from the fans above. For an opposition player I can imagine it will be quite intimidating as well; I will be interested to speak to my Liverpool team-mates after the game to see how they found it. It will be a special experience for them, for sure."
