Long-range strikes aren't exactly Thomas Muller's speciality but he proved he has them in his locker tonight with a belting goal against Spain in Dusseldorf.

Rodrigo put Spain ahead six minutes in after being threaded through deliciously by Andres Iniesta, but Muller replied in the 35th minute in stunning style.

The Bayern man is known for his predatory instinct inside the area but showed he's more than a 'fox in the box' by curling a beauty past David De Gea, arguably the best goalkeeper in world football, from around 25 yards out.

It was Muller's 38th goal for Die Mannschaft, and one that impressed fans on social media:

Muller is just seven goals away from being the all-time World Cup scorer and knocking his compatriot Miroslav Klose off his perch.
