Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon today claimed that he is keen to avoid Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals because of their ability to rotate in La Liga.
He speaks sense. Diego Simeone's strength in depth gives Atletico a huge advantage as they look to progress in both La Liga and the Champions League, and one player in particular has been praised on social media following this week's performance against Leicester.
Jose María Giménez's ability to intercept and retain possession was on show at the King Power on Tuesday, and Twitter lauded the 22-year-old's performance against the likes of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez.

To be fair, he looked outstanding throughout. You can see why the Spanish call him 'the wall':
Atletico have managed to keep a clean sheet in 18 of their last 22 Champions League home matches, with the partnership of Godin and Gimenez a key reason behind the club's incredible form in all competitions.
But Gimenez played a vital role in midfield for Atletico against Leicester, and many praised his versatility.
In 2013, Atlético Madrid paid less than €1M for Giménez. He has quickly become a vital part of Simeone's plans since.

The 22-year-old has already made 30 appearances for Uruguay since his debut against Colombia in 2013.
According to reports, Manchester United and LIverpool are chasing the player. Would he be a good signing for either side?
