Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has told Los Blancos that they must sign one of the Premier League's biggest talents before Barcelona make a move.

Bale has personally recommended his club to go out and sign 17-year-old prospect Ben Woodburn, who became the Liverpool's youngest ever goalscorer in the EFL Cup win over Leeds, beating Michael Owen's previous record.

The Welsh international has reportedly touted Woodburn as the heir to Cristiano Ronaldo's throne at Real Madrid, a huge statement considering his lack of Premier League and first team experience.

According to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol, Bale is aware that interest will increase when it comes to Woodburn's signature and he wants the club to move fast before Barcelona make a move.

Woodburn is seen as a real prospect at Liverpool, but is he really good enough to play for Los Blancos?

Bale certainly thinks so.

The 17-year-old striker joined the likes of Bale and Aaron Ramsey at Wales' Vale of Glamorgan training base in March and the Madrid man was clearly impressed with his performance.

Barcelona are also reportedly interested in the services of Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho, who has been linked with a move away from Anfield for quite some time.

Is Woodburn the future at Liverpool?

Let us know your thoughts on the 17-year-old talent.
