The likes of Marco Asensio, Saul Niguez and Denis Suarez gave everyone a glimpse into the future of Spanish football vs Italy, but one player who may not be as 'well known' made the biggest statement of the night.

In a squad that has been dubbed one of the most talented in years, 20-year-old Dani Ceballos stood out among the rest. He was praised throughout for his quality in possession and perfect distribution.

Real Betis midfielder Ceballos produced a memorable performance in the centre for Spain, with this magnificent solo run a highlight in an all-round quality performance.

You can see why Real Madrid are such big admirers of the youngster:

Ceballos made waves during last night's semi-final, and many are calling for their club to sign the Betis midfielder after it emerged that he has a release clause of just £13.2 million.

Even if a club did make a move for Ceballos, it now looks like Real Madrid are on the verge of signing the player after reports in Spain confirmed that he is 'close to securing a move to Los Blancos'.

With Marco Asensio already on board, Zidane will have a flurry of Spanish talent in his squad ahead of next season.

A real statement to their European rivals.

Spain U21 manager Albert Celades hailed his team's spirit as they prepare to face Germany in the European Championship final:

"We're happy with what we're doing. Winning three games in this final phase is difficult and asks a lot of you. Portugal are a great team and have been eliminated," Celades told reporters.

"We played well in spells, but after they went a man down, they asked a little more of us. We've been able to give players the opportunity to play. It's important in terms of managing the group.

"Given the group we were in, we thought about taking it game by game. We first had to put our minds on Macedonia, knowing that we were going to play Portugal after them and without thinking that we could qualify before the game against Serbia."

We cannot wait to see more of Dani Ceballos in the near future.

What a talent.
