Cristiano Ronaldo Proves He Can Dribble With Incredible Run vs Spurs

It's not very often we see a Ronaldo dribble...

Many believe Cristiano Ronaldo left his trusty box of tricks and flicks at Old Trafford when he left Manchester United for Real Madrid in 2009.

In the space of eight years, the four time Ballon d'Or winner has adjusted his game. Plenty have noticed that the old Ronaldo - a lad who produced at least a step over every game - had disappeared and a more productive and deadly Cristiano was born.

It has been a remarkable journey for Ronaldo. From a skinny, gangly teenager with Spaghetti-like string running through his hair to the almost machine-like centre-forward we hail on a weekly basis at Real Madrid. His game has changed for the better in recent times.

But the 32-year-old gave us a glimpse of the past in last night's Champions League tie against Tottenham Hotspur. Maybe it the fact that he was coming up against Premier League opposition.

Ronaldo produced a mazy run in the middle of the field, reminiscent of his former days in England, dribbling past three Spurs players before stinging the palms of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Many claim the Portugal international has lost the ability to dribble with the ball and run past players, but Los Blancos' biggest attraction proved the doubters wrong on Tuesday evening with this wonderful run:

Before the game, Ronaldo was also a huge talking point after he gave us a wonderful rendition of the famous anthem before Los Blancos' game against Spurs.

You often see footballers hold back as the anthem rings out, hiding a smile with a stereotypical 'don't let anybody see you're actually enjoying this moment' face. Cristiano, on the other hand, had different ideas.

The former Manchester United winger belted out the song with great affection, something that everybody who loves Champions League football can relate with.

I'd do exactly the same, Cristiano.

It was a difficult night for Los Blancos, as Ronaldo and co. struggled to break down a very organised Spurs team.

What did you think of the game? Did Spurs deserve a win?
