Earlier this year, an 11-year-old lad called Samuel got the chance to meet a number of his Manchester United heroes in an unforgettable viral video.

Samuel, who is an aspiring goalkeeper keeper, was nominated by his foundation coach to receive a series of surprises as a result of his dedication and positive attitude towards life.

Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a number of other Manchester United first team players featured in the truly inspiring story held at Carrington Training Ground.

"Having cerebral palsy is very hard, and playing football is a bit difficult but I don't really take that as a big issue, I just get on with it." said Samuel.

"United show good emotions that they can keep going no matter what. So that's what I say to myself: 'Never, never, never give up.' I'm in a wheelchair and I never give up. Just try. Try your hardest."

Months after he went viral, one of the players involved in the video has donated a 'huge amount of money' in an auction to give Samuel the chance to lead the players onto the pitch next season.

Paul Pogba's generous donation meant that the charity raised a total of £140,000.

The awards were presented by Manchester United fan Andy Goldstein, who said: "Paul Pogba put up a huge amount of money for Samuel to be mascot next season."

Samuel receieved the gift of a lifetime as he met his United idols at the clubs training base in Carrington and the youngster described it as his "best day of his life."

Not only did he meet Pogba and Ibrahimovic, but he also chatted away with United's main man between the sticks, who even gave Samuel his gloves:

"De Gea gave me his actual gloves, which was better than anything I have ever got."

Needless to say, having the condition is very hard but, amazingly, Samuel claims he just gets on with it.
