Back in November, we told you that the great Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be immortalised outside Sweden's national stadium.
Zlatan managed to win the Swedish Player of the Year award for the 10th consecutive season, and the 11th time in the last 12, so the news that he was about to be erected as a statue came as no surprise to us or the man himself.

During this years acceptance speech for the Swedish Player of the Year award, Ibrahimovic said the following:
"The guy from Rosengård gets his own statue in the capital of Sweden. You usually get it when you go away, but I still feel alive. The day I go away will you live on forever. So thanks,"

Ibrahimovic will be honoured with a 2.7 metre statue outside the national stadium, the Friends Arena in Stockholm, but until now, nobody has laid eyes on the impressive sculpture.
The 35-year-old, who is the country's all-time leading scorer with 62 goals, gave his Instagram followers a sneak peak of the statue by revealing it's gigantic head.

I think it's fair to say this statue in particular is slightly better than the one's Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale received earlier this year.

Here's what Zlatan uploaded on his social media page:
He captioned the on the social media post: "The symbol of Sweden is almost done #mystatue #proud #lifework."
Well deserved, Zlatan.
