Kaka's final ever home game for Orlando City was always going to be an emotional affair, with the one time Ballon d'Or winner bringing an end to his glittering career, last night after revealing in a recent interview that he doesn't find enjoyment playing football any more.

The Brazilian said, "I don't find enjoyment playing football anymore, I feel pain after every match. My body feels it and at the age of 35 it's hard to recuperate."

Formerly the most expensive player in world football, when he swapped AC Milan for Real Madrid in 2009, Kaka is the last player not named Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to lift the Ballon d'Or, having done so after inspiring AC Milan to the 2007 Champions League.

While his move to Real didn't end up proving to be much of a success, the Brazilian playmaker still earned a La Liga winner's medal out of it, before returning to Milan and then continuing onto the MLS, where he has played for the last two years, making 73 appearances in the Sunshine state.

And, while the former Milan man couldn't sign off with a victory against Columbus Crew, he was given a hero's reception by the home crowd at the Orlando City stadium, including an injury time pitch invasion by two young LADs, who couldn't resist getting up close and personal with their idol.

In fact, before the match had even kicked off, the occasion looked to have got to Kaka, who was in tears as he took to the pitch for the final time.

A return to Sao Paolo has been rumoured, but it does seem as if yesterday was the great man's final game

What a career.
