Gary Neville believes N'Golo Kante should win the PFA Player of the Year award for the 2016/17 season.
The Sky Sports pundit was asked by a fan at the end of Monday Night Football if the Chelsea midfielder deserved the gong for his performances throughout this campaign.
Kante has been a stalwart for Antonio Conte's men since signing from Leicester in the summer, playing 28 times and providing sound midfield cover for the attacking talent in the team.
He ranks third best for tackles in the Premier League (via whoscored.com) and has more than justified the Β£32million Chelsea spent on signing him from league champions Leicester.

And for that Neville agrees that Kante should be recognised as the best player in the league this season - even with three months of it still left to play:

It's also worth recognising the collapse of Leicester this term since losing Kante in the summer.

Carragher makes a compelling case for Zlatan Ibrahimovic too, as the Swedish striker has been the standout for a Manchester United which has got better as the season has advanced.
Also in last night's show, Gary Neville showered Spurs striker Harry Kane with praise after his recent goalscoring form.
