Ahead of the Champions League semi-final between Liverpool and AS Roma on Tuesday evening, club captain Daniele De Rossi has laid a wreath in memory of those who lost their lives at Hillsborough.
A special "96" mosaic was displayed before Liverpool's home game against Bournemouth on April 14 to mark the 29th anniversary of the disaster.

Later, a minute's applause was held before the game as people paid tribute to those who lost their lives.
On Monday afternoon, De Rossi was one of the latest people to pay his respects.

As you can see in he footage below, the 34-year-old was joined alongside AS Roma players and coaching staff - a typically classy gesture from the Italian side and their captain.
Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has praised De Rossi ahead of the Champions League tie, and is relishing facing the experienced Italian:
"Fantastic player and a fantastic leader for many years for Roma," he told a news conference via GOAL.

"He's a huge player and someone who has been around for a long time. He will be used to it, this sort of size of game. He will be looking forward to it.
"But I feel we've got experience in our side, too, maybe not as much as him, but I feel we are ready to go and challenge."
