In what is undoubtedly the best news of 2017, Liverpool FC have officially banned journalists from The S*n newspaper from covering games at Anfield as well as attending press conferences at the club's Melwood training ground.

The newspaper, which, in 1989 published disgusting lies about the Hillsborough disaster in which 96 innocent Liverpool fans tragically lost their lives, has rightfully been loathed on Merseyside ever since.

Discussions between Liverpool officials and members of the Total Eclipse of The S*n campaign have been ongoing about implementing the ban, which will now take place with immediate effect.

The Total Eclipse of The S*n group tweeted: "Further to conversations with LFC directors we are happy to inform you that S*n journalists are no longer enjoy access to all club premises."

Despite The S*n's horrific 'The Truth' front page, which falsely laid the blame of the 96 deaths of innocent people at the feet of the Liverpool fans themselves, an act which kickstarted a search for justice which lasted over a quarter of a century and unearthed a multitude of sickening cover ups, the newspaper was still allowed access to Anfield and Melwood, but was never granted exclusive access to Liverpool managers or players.

Fuck The S*n
Fuck The S*n

The S*n's disgusting 'The Truth' front page following the Hillsborough disaster.

The truth now is that the newspaper is now officially banned by Liverpool football club, and it's not before time.

Well done to Liverpool FC and everyone involved in the Total Eclipse of The S*n campaign.
