FIFA 17 has been out for some time now, but recently, I've decided to take the plunge and start a career with Borussia Dortmund following several hundred failed attempts of trying to reach Division 1 on Ultimate Team.
i usually veer towards online game modes like Ultimate Team and online FUT Draft but I'm going to change things up and win the Bundesliga because Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is just pure pace, really.
As I was playing the game, I thought of creating a list of hidden gems on the latest FIFA series.
Here are 8 hidden gems on FIFA 17 that you need to sign:
Andreas Christensen - Borussia M'gladbach (CB)
The 20-year-old defender is currently on loan at Gladbach from Chelsea and was voted Borussia Monchegladbach Player of the Season ahead of former team captain Granit Xhaka in 2016.
On FIFA 16, he picked up an impressive 74-rated Team of the Season card and deservedly so.
Now he is 78-rated with huge potential. Get him signed up, now!
Viktor Kovalenko - Shakhtar Donetsk (CAM)
At the age of just 20, Kovalenko is one of Donetsk's biggest prospects. He's already made seven appearances for Ukraine, winning the Golden Boot award at the FIFA Under 20 World Cup back in 2015 with five goals.
Kovalenko had a potential rating of 86 on FIFA 16 career mode and after an impressive season with the Ukrainian Premier League side, he is still highly rated.
Here he is with a 87 rating in the third season on Career Mode this year:
A must buy.
Vincent Koziello - OGC Nice (CM/CDM)
Despite arguably being one of the more lesser-known names on this list, Koziello has impressed in Europe this season with Ligue 1 side OGC Nice, with quick movement and a unique passing style a huge factor in his game.
The 20-year-old had a potential rating of just 84 on the last FIFA career mode but manytipped him to become a real hidden gem in FIFA 17. 4* weak foot, as well.
He is rated as the cheap Marco Verratti.
Maximilian Meyer - FC Schalke 04
Most of us have already recognised Meyer's potential in seasons gone by but with 41 appearances and six goals for club and country in 2015/16, he made another huge step in becoming one of the hottest talents in world football last season.
He won't come cheap - his value is expected to be around the £10-15 million mark so don't expect a bargain like previously mentioned players, but what you will get is dribbling, acceleration and balance along with bundles of skill.
Potential rating - 86.
Niklas Sule - Hoffenheim (CB)
Sule was awarded with his first Germany cap back in August after an outstanding year with Bundesliga side 1899 Hoffenheim and his FIFA stats in career mode match his admirable achievements.
With defending stats like his, Sule is a must buy on career mode. The 20-year-old had a potential rating of 86 on FIFA 16 and now has a potential rating of 87 on FIFA 17.
If you need a defender, this is your man.
Mikel Merino - Borussia Dortmund (CM/CDM)
Back in February 2016, Borussia Dortmund snapped up highly-rated midfielder Mikel Merino from Spanish side Osasuna on a five-year deal.
Although he hasn't appeared competitively for the Bundesliga giants this season, the 19-year-old will be a cheap option on career mode with a value of around £5 million.
A real talent.

Lewis Cook - Bournemouth
Another recognisable name in this list is Bournemouth winger Lewis Cook, who has looked promising in his first two appearances for The Cherries against Manchester United and Morecambe in the Capital One cup.
Cook made the move from Leeds last summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £7 million, so he may be a tad more expensive than the rest, but the midfielder has bags of potential.
ST - Angel Correa - Atletico Madrid
After making a total of 39 appearances for club and country last season, Correa bagged eight goals and eight assists in 2015/16 and after scoring against Celta Vigo last weekend, the player is destined for great things, especially on FIFA.
With a potential rating of 88 on FIFA 17 and with stats of 85 pace and 87 dribbling, he is must sign on career mode.
