Jack Wilshere left his mark at Wojciech Szczęsny's wedding after the former Arsenal shot-stopper revealed what he did when he was drunk.

Speaking to Foot Truck, the 28-year-old Polish 'keeper said that he has a close relationship with the former Gunners star.

"My best friend, alongside [Grzegorz] Krychowiak," he said.

"At my wedding, he got so drunk, we were looking for him everywhere for two hours and found him sleeping in bushes."

Fair play to Wilshere -- the hangover must have been rough as hell, though.

Szczęsny left Arsenal in 2017 for the Old Lady and has been promoted to Massimiliano Allegri's first choice for the number one spot, following on from the departure of Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon last summer.

Meanwhile, Wilshere's time at the Emirates Stadium came to an end in 2018 after he signed for West Ham United.

Despite both players walking their separate paths, Szczęsny is convinced that his former teammate would play for a big club if it wasn't for his injury-plagued career.

"He had one injury that he never really fixed and it's caused the next and the next," he explained.

"He's one of the greatest talents I ever met.

"Because of [the] injuries he now plays [at] West Ham rather than a big European club."

Interestingly, the Poland international has no love lost with one of his former Arsenal teammates: Robin van Persie.

The 35-year-old Dutch striker, who has announced that he will retire at the end of the season, left the Gunners in 2012 to complete a move to Manchester United.

In a move that angered many, many Gunners supporters, Szczęsny didn't hold back in his comments on van Persie's decision.

"You have to admit, he left for Manchester United and the following year won a title, however, after that he got benched, moved to Turkey and his big career ended," he said.

"He could have made other decisions and achieved lots more at Arsenal.

"He's extremely arrogant -- sometimes."

Szczęsny still has the chance to make it to the Champions League final this season, with Cristiano Ronaldo's fantastic hat-trick against Atlético Madrid securing their progression to the quarter-finals.

In Friday's Champions League draw, the reigning Serie A champions learned that their next opponents in Europe's elite competition would be Ajax.

Will Juventus make it to the final of this season's Champions League?
