Dušan Tadić Has Been Involved In Over 60 Goals For Ajax This Season

It's safe to say that Dušan Tadić has capped off a brilliant season with Ajax.

The Dutch side captured the Eredivisie title in style with a 4-1 thrashing of De Graafschap at the De Vijverberg on Wednesday, with the 30-year-old Serbian scoring a second-half brace.

While the limelight has been placed on the likes of Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt, Tadić has continued to show why he is one of the most in-form players in Europe time and time again.

The former Southampton star has been involved in over 60 goals for his side across all competitions.

According to Transfermarkt, Tadić made 34 appearances in the league and scored 28 times and assisted on 14 occasions.

When it came to the Champions League, including the qualifying stages, the Serbia international made 18 appearances and scored nine times and assisted eight times.

Finally, the KNVB Cup, which Ajax won in a 4-0 thrashing of Willem II earlier this month, also had Tadić make his mark in four appearances by scoring once and assisting twice.

That's right, the Ajax star has made 56 appearances in total this season, scored 38 times and assisted 24 times.

It's easy for the focus to be on de Jong or de Ligt this season, but Tadić recently spoke highly about the development of fellow Ajax teammate Donny van de Beek.

"Matthijs de Ligt, Frenkie de Jong and Donny van de Beek have made an enormous amount of progress, but Donny has surprised me the most," he told De Telegraaf.

"He started to live even more for football. Donny likes to listen to the older players, has started to pay more attention to his diet and to train harder in the gym.

"If you saw it at the start of the season and see it now, that's a world of difference. Magnificent."

Will Tadić leave Ajax in the summer?
