Spurs fans might need to wait even longer before they see their side play matches at home after the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been hit with another delay.
According to the Times, the club will be holding test events around Christmas, but it would seem that Spurs could be hit with another stumbling block in obtaining the safety certificates needed for their new stadium.
The London club will have 6,000 supporters visiting the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as part of a tour on Sunday.
The newspaper also reports that test events have been scheduled on 30th December and 6th January. In fact, it is another worrying sign that the arena won't be ready in time for Spurs' clash with Manchester United on 13th January.
Missing out on their match with the Reds would leave Spurs fans waiting until February before they have the chance to see a home fixture in the stadium.
The Times claims that it has seen both photographs and a seven-week planner in the operations room at the stadium. It is added that 13th January is the opening date, but this could change with the new delay.
Earlier this month, a Spurs fans posted pictures showing how much work needed to be done on the stadium. It follows on from reports that even suggested that the arena might not be opened until March.
