Son Heung-Min’s Stats Show How Much Spurs Will Miss Him In January

Son Heung-min is off to a flying start this season with Tottenham Hotspur.

The 26-year-old South Korean international could arguably be one of the most criminally underrated players in the Premier League's top six sides.

Spurs signed him for £22m (€30m) from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, making him the most expensive Asian player in history.

With the price that the London club paid for him, the former Hamburger star has been a brilliant attacking option for Mauricio Pochettino.

Since his arrival in the Premier League, Son has made 112 appearances for the club. He has scored 35 times for his side and has 16 assists to his name.

Considering he can be played as a forward or as a winger, it's a solid return for him when Harry Kane is the first-choice striker for Spurs.

In this season alone, the Spurs star has had no problem finding his form. He has appeared in 14 matches this season, scored six times and assisted his fellow teammates on three occasions.

It's not hard to see why Pochettino -- and Spurs fans -- will miss him when he sets off for the AFC Asian Cup with South Korea.

In fact, here is a collection of stats as a reminder of Son's quality.

Check them out below.

Son, who has been exempt of military service after his exploits at the Asian Games, helped Spurs to knock Arsenal out of the EFL Cup earlier this month.

Do you think Spurs will miss Son while he is on international duty?
