Harry Kane was a peripheral figure as Spurs lost 3-1 to Manchester City at Wembley, but some punters who had him down to score in the game still ended up getting a pay-out.

Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring 22 minutes in, Ilkay Gundogan added a second from the spot three minutes later after Hugo Lloris cleaned out Raheem Sterling, before Christian Eriksen pulled one back just from half-time.

Sterling missed a couple of very good chances but then bagged yet another crucial goal for Pep Guardiola's side, his close-range finish to make it 3-1 taking his goals tally to 22 for the campaign.

At the other end of the pitch, his England colleague Kane was barely involved in the game. He didn't even have a single shot on goal, but Paddy Power made sure those who backed him didn't end up disappointed.

After being the talk of the town following his successful appeal for his 'goal' against Stoke a week prior, the popular bookmaker made the most of it all by paying out on all online pre-match singles that comprised of Kane scoring the first goal and getting on the scoresheet at any point in the game.

The Kane jokes have got a bit of hand but we reckon Paddy Power have produced the one best we'll see.

Having said that, Spurs seriously missed a trick on Saturday night by not posting a goal graphic as if Kane had scored and not Eriksen - the man who had the goal taken off him a week earlier.
