Zinedine Zidane started the 19-year-old and he justified his place in Real Madrid's starting XI.
Diaz, who signed for Real Madrid from Manchester City in January, played without fear and full of confidence as he displayed a wide range of skills including a filthy, filthy nutmeg in the second-half.
His jaw-dropping skills sent social media into overdrive with Borussia Dortmund phenom Jadon Sancho even commenting on his superb showing.
Zidane's happy with his progress at the club.

"I am happy with his progress, he had a great game," the Frenchman said following his side's 0-0 draw with Getafe.
"He likes to play and I love fearless players. He had a good game but I had to take him off because he was suffering some cramps. He played well and I am happy.
"I love how he plays. Let's see what happens next year. The crucial thing is what happened today."
The Spanish starlet cost Real Madrid £15.5 million, but the transfer fee could rise to £22 million.

He's made five league appearances this campaign though game time next season could be hard to come by with an influx of summer signings impending.
