Marcelo Pulls Off His Most Outrageous Touch To Date In Brazil Training

Stop that.

I think it's fair to say that Marcelo's first touch is the most satisfying thing in football right now. I mean, the bloke's a left back and he can do almost anything with a ball at his feet.

In months gone by, the 30-year-old has sent football fans into a frenzy with his ridiculous ability to control the ball.

He literally stopped the ball dead against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final, and he did the same a week later in the second leg.

Now, ahead of Brazil's opening game of the World Cup against Switzerland, the left-back has produced arguably his best touch yet in an open training session.

Gabriel Jesus, Fernandinho and Marcelo were playing keepy-ups in a triangle and when the Manchester City midfielder looped the ball in the air with a cushioned header, the Real Madrid defender brought it down in the only way he knows how.

Seriously, how bloody good is this?!

As we mentioned earlier, this isn't the first time Marcelo has left us in awe because of his footballing ability, this season.

The Madrid derby between Real and Atletico earlier this month wasn't quite the cracker we were hoping for, but it did feature the sexiest touch of the season from, you guessed it, Marcelo.

Unquestionably, the absolute highlight of the 1-1 draw was the Brazilian's mesmeric touch to give the ball to Isco late in the game. He, as we know, is blessed with loads of technical ability and he displayed just what he's capable of by skillfully flicking the ball over Gabi to feed Isco all in one motion.

We can't wait to see what Marcelo has in store for the upcoming World Cup. He might just pluck the ball down with a backheel next time round.

MAKE IT HAPPEN!
