Leroy Sane has put Manchester City fans on edge by accidentally dropping a bombshell about his future at the Premier League champions.

The City star, 23, has been linked with a sensational move to Bayern Munich in recent months and he has cast doubt over his future again.

City uploaded a clip to Twitter of Pep Guardiola's men training and a brief exchange between Sane and Raheem Sterling was picked up.

"Right now I don't know anything," Sane said to Sterling.

City ace Sterling, 24, asked the Bayern Munich target "Germany," but Sane ended the conversation with "I'll tell you after."

And the exchange was going on as Kevin De Bruyne pulled off a cheeky nutmeg on Sane.

Fans have flocked to social media to 'welcome' the German winger to Bayern Munich, while others have 'begged' that he stays at City.

One fan wrote: "Yoooo, sane come to Bayern [sic]."

Someone else said: "Don't make leroy Sane sad he might leave [sic]."

A City fan tweeted: "Sane can nutmeg the entire squad if that makes him happy to sign a new deal."

A fourth added: "Hope u stay with us @LeroySane19 [sic]."

Sane, who was signed from Schalke in 2016, is under contract with City until 2021.

And City will play hardball in any negotiations as they hold out for a whopping £90m transfer fee for the German star.

Bayern Munich boss Niko Kovac is expected to be in for a busy summer as he prepares for life without Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben.

Ribery, 36, left the German champions at the end of the season and is on the hunt for a new club this summer.

But the French winger has already backed Sane to be an instant success at the Bavarians.

"Obviously, you still want to get some players. There were many departures that the club has to compensate for," the ex-Bayern Munich star told German newspaper Bild.

"Sane would be a player who brings Bayern forward.

"He has top skills, can play on the right and left sides. I'm curious if he will really decide for Munich, fancy the Bundesliga."

Should Sane move to Bayern Munich in the summer?
