ESPN's Adrian Healey has claimed that Brighton players have been out on the town for the last three nights ahead of facing Manchester City in the Premier League.

Brighton host league leaders City in a crucial fixture. The Blues are looking to win back-to-back Premier League titles with their destiny in their own hands.

Liverpool face Wolves at Anfield and they need Brighton to take points off City if they want to become English champions.

However, it appears Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool fans alike have been dealt a blow.

Healey has been informed that "several" Brighton players have been partying ahead of today's league match.

"I've got a mate who's a Brighton fan who informs me that several of the Brighton players have been spotted out on the town for the last three nights in a row," he said.

Ex-Chelsea and Derby County midfielder Craig Burley responded: "Well I'd be disappointed if they weren't.

"In the days before we were going for the title at Celtic, we were out for three days and we were going for the title, and won it by the way.

"So I'd wholly anticipate that if they've got nothing to play for on their behalf, they're having a few shandies, strawberry daiquiris.

"They've got a duty to the rest of the league and to Liverpool. Yeah, yeah, sod that."

ESPN commentator Ian Darke also weighed in on the situation: "They were only drinking mineral water though!

"I think less teams are on the beach than they used to be aren't they.

"The league is played to a finish I think now."

Brighton, who are already safe from relegation, have nothing to play for with Premier League football guaranteed for next season.

Will Chris Hughton's side take anything off City? Well, it all goes down at 3 pm so tune in to find out.
