Eden Hazard has been officially unveiled as a Real Madrid player.

Real Madrid announced they had acquired the Belgium star last Friday and after he finished his international commitments, Hazard made the trip to Madrid for his medical and presentation this evening.

Having passed his medical examinations at the La Moraleja, Hazard then had a press conference in front of his family, the media and Real officials.

He was then presented in front of thousands of Madridstas who had queued to see the 28-year old at the Bernabeu.

Hazard speaking in French after saying 'Hello' in Spanish, said: "Thanks to the president, my friends and family. I look forward to pulling on this shirt. Since I was a young child it was my dream to play for this club. I just want to enjoy my time with this club."

After deciding to move on for a new challenge following seven successful seasons at Chelsea, Hazard's salary will be doubled to a whopping £400,000-a-week in the Spanish capital.

The deal for the former Lille man is a reported £89 million, rising to £130 million dependent on certain bonuses and clauses in his contract.

It was, however, a necessary investment for Real after last season's disappointing campaign. Hazard becomes the club's latest Galactico and is part of a summer overhaul that has also seen Porto defender Eder Militao, Lyon left-back Ferland Mendy and Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic all join the club.
