Well said.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to begin a frustrating period on the sidelines after the 35-year-old damaged his anterior cruciate ligament in last Thursday's Europa League tie between Manchester United and Anderlecht.

It has been reported that Zlatan will face up to nine months out following the injury, and many fellow professionals have took to social media in wishing the Swedish striker a speedy recovery.

Kurt Zouma, who suffered a very similar injury back in 2016, sent a fitting message to Ibrahimovic on Twitter last week - and now Zlatan's biggest idol has sent his best wishes.

Three-time FIFA player of the year Ronaldo has dedicated a special Instagram post to the Manchester United forward.

"Ibra, my positive thinking is that you have a good recovery, and come back even stronger as you wish,"

"The force is in our will! You have my support, respect and admiration for facing the injury with this warrior spirit of overcoming adversity."

Zlatan has always been hugely complimentary of the former Brazilian striker.

"I think Ronaldo was phenomenal," he told the club's official match programme, United Review.

"He was the player that whatever he did it became...'wow'! He could do a difficult thing and it became magic. He would take the ball and it was like him saying 'I'll take care of it now'.

"You didn't have that kind of football player before and you don't have it today. He doesn't exist.

"As a young player I watched him and said to myself 'I want to be exactly like that'... the player who makes the difference, the shining light, simple as that."
