Wigan Athletic Beat Manchester City In The FA Cup. Again

Wigan Athletic Beat Manchester City In The FA Cup. Again

Come on, lads, it's just getting mean, now.

Stop me if you've heard this before, but Wigan Athletic have upset Manchester City in the FA Cup.

A fantastic second half effort by Will Grigg saw the Latics secure a spot in the quarter-finals with yet another historic victory over their wealthy North West neighbours.

Wigan famously defeated City 1-0 with a last gasp Ben Watson winner in the 2013 FA Cup final before eliminating them from the competition again, a year later.

And now Paul Cook's men have completed a legendary hat-trick by dumping Pep Guardiola's runaway Premier League leaders out in the fifth round.

City were reduced to 10 men after Fabian Delph was sent off just before half-time in an incident that caused Guardiola to lose the fucking plot in the tunnel at half-time, like a pissed bloke in the pub.

Then, enter Will Grigg to terrify City's 12 billion quid defence.

And, for good measure, here's a picture of Josh Lawless, the sole City fan on SPORTbible's team, who we plan on tormenting about this result all week long.

Not even sorry, Josh, mate.
