Atletico Madrid bagged all three points against Valencia, but Antoine Griezmann was left furious with his own fans.
Despite Barcelona taking on neighbours Espanyol, the game of the La Liga weekend saw second and third go head-to-head. Atleti hosted Valencia in a pivotal fixture for the race to second place.
And only one goal separated the two sides.
Atletico Madrid took the lead in the second half courtesy of Angel Correa with Diego Simeone's charges recording their 14th league victory, racking up 49 points in the process.

Nine points clear of Valencia, while cutting the gap at the top to nine points.
Though while Atletico Madrid secured the victory, their fans weren't happy with just the solitary goal.
In the 90th minute, Griezmann argued with the home fans after slowing down an attack.

It appeared a counter attack was on, though the French winger turned down the opportunity. Instead playing it back to the frustration of the Wanda Metropolitan faithfuls.
He didn't appreciate the boo's, immediately gesturing.
Griezmann remains subject to intense transfer speculation. While Manchester United reportedly expressed an interest, Barcelona are also in the running to sign him.

Despite shelling out £142 million to prize Philippe Coutinho away from Liverpool, the Catalans giants continue to eye up new talent with Griezmann very much on their transfer radar.
