With Virgil van Dijk suspended for Liverpool's Champions League first-leg against Bayern Munich, Jurgen Klopp is set to resort to a makeshift center-back pairing and some Liverpool fans are worried.

Liverpool resume their 2018/19 campaign by venturing into the Champions League. They entertain Bayern Munich at Anfield and Klopp is without one of his key players.

van Dijk is unavailable through suspension and the German boss has outlined his plans for Tuesday's fixture.

It appears he'll play Fabinho alongside Joel Matip at center-back.

The Brazilian has played in defence before for Liverpool this season. He starred at the back against Brighton in the Premier League, keeping a clean sheet. Though van Dijk, who was named 'Man of the Match', was playing alongside him.

But the summer signing adopting a defensive position reduces Liverpool's quality in midfield with Henderson likely to start in the middle of the park.

Needless to say, it got Liverpool fans talking. Here's some reaction from Twitter:

How will Fabinho and Matip fare against Robert Lewandowski?
