N'Golo Kante deservedly scooped the PFA Player of the Year award back in April, beating the likes of Eden Hazard, Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku to the prestigious award.
Not only that, but the French midfielder managed to lift the Football Writers' Player of the Year award last night as he prepares to lift the Premier League title with Chelsea this weekend.
It has been another remarkable season in what has been a fairytale journey for Kante.

Some doubted if he could adapt to life at Stamford Bridge following his £30 million move from Leicester City, but Antonio Conte's side arguably grabbed themselves the bargain of the season.

In last night's Football Writers' awards, Chelsea's technical director Michael Emenalo gave us an insight into Kante first training session at Chelsea, and we're not sure how to feel about it.
After the training session had finished, is has been revealed that Chelsea sent Leicester City a bunch of flowers.

Emenalo said: "After Kante's first training session with us the players hugged him and we sent Leicester flowers."
So they were so happy with the deal that they sent Leicester a bunch of flowers? Interesting.
Emenalo went onto say: "It is ridiculous to think that N'Golo Kante can improve, given the fact that he has improved two fantastic clubs and helped them win titles in the last couple of seasons."

Four years ago, the 26-year-old wasn't even playing regular first team football in the French 3rd division, but he has quickly established himself as one of the best midfielder's in world football.
From the suburb of Paris, just across the River Seine from the Bois de Boulogne, to playing in front of 41,000 at Stamford Bridge, the midfielder deserves a huge amount of credit for his rise.
Kante's incredible ability to intercept and retain the ball is a perfect match for the Premier League.

Former Leicester scout Steve Walsh was an integral reason behind the emergence of N'Golo Kante and his words about the French midfielder are very telling.
"Character is very important and you can find out a lot about players when you are watching them on the pitch," Walsh told Everton's official site.
"It's not necessarily about what you do when you've got the ball, a lot of the time it's about what you do when you don't have it."
