It was reported yesterday that Manchester United had entered the race to sign Alexis Sanchez.

Jose Mourinho's side have somewhat thrown Manchester City off guard with the interest, testing Arsenal's resolve with a reported £25 million bid for the wantaway winger.

Sanchez, of course, has been linked with a move away from the Emirates for some time but who will the Chilean join - Manchester United or Manchester City?

Despite the fact that Sanchez's agent Fernando Felicevich has recently followed Manchester United on Twitter. the 29-year-old would prefer to join Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.

In fact, Sanchez is reportedly 'desperate' to join up with his former manager at Barcelona, Guardiola, but the club are so far holding out for £20 million, according to The Independent.

After the news emerged, the odds on Sanchez joining Manchester City before February 3rd have changed massively.

Manchester United, on the other hand, are willing to pay £25 million plus Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has struggled under Mourinho in recent months despite an encouraging start to the season.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has recently come out and said that there is nothing concrete at the moment in terms of a transfer, but the transfer will only happen if they can find a suitable replacement.

Earlier this week, according to The Guardian, Manchester City offered £20 million for the player, with Sanchez reportedly having already agreed terms on a contract worth around £250,000-a-week.

The transfers that never were...

The transfer window really is in full swing.

Where do you think Alexis Sanchez will be playing his football at the end of January? Do you think he should join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City or Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford?
