White Hart Lane is no more but after a long and drawn-out process, Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are almost ready to move into their brand new, £850 million stadium that has been branded 'a world class sports and entertainment venue.'

Spurs' chairman Daniel Levy has described it as "our new home for generations to come" - so what have they named this almighty structure?

The club have announced that the name of their new stadium will be 'Tottenham Hotspur Stadium' for the time being, which has baffled many.

As you can see in the below image, the club have changed the letter 'a' in 'stadium' to represent their North London heritage.

Many have sarcastically pointed out that it must have taken ages to think of such a 'genius' name, but Spurs released a statement earlier about the new brand identify.

"We are delighted to unveil our new stadium brand identity." a statement read.

"As well as becoming a new, world-famous home for Tottenham Hotspur, our new stadium will also stage NFL matches, concerts and other major events, as we look to create an iconic global sports and entertainment destination in Tottenham.

"Our new stadium will currently be known as Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the 'A' of the word 'Stadium' stylised to create an arrow pointing north, to represent our proud North London heritage.

Plenty on social media were saying the same thing shortly after they announced the news.

Here's some reaction from throughout the day:

Genius.
