Barcelona's under 14 B side came up against FC Persimmon earlier in one of the most dramatic penalty shoot-outs you'll ever see.

The Catalan giants managed to win 11-10 in the quarterfinals of the Junior Soccer World Challenge 2018 after number 28, Adrian Gill's, slotted away the winning penalty.

It was a heartbreaking scenario for their opponents from the city of Kawasaki, who collapsed to the floor in devastation.

It was what happened afterwards, however, that grabbed the headlines.

Game winner Gill immediately consoled the opposition goalkeeper, grabbing him and helping towards to centre circle, where other Barcelona players were seen hugging and offering their congratulations to the losers.

This is what football is all about. Maybe professional footballers should take note.

The reaction from these young players, who could have easily celebrated among themselves, is just brilliant.

Clearly the football club are raising their youth properly and fittingly, the crowd watching applauded what was happening before their eyes as the Barcelona U14 B side continued to console their opponents.

More than a club.

Barcelona's official website described the above scene perfectly, saying:

"The reaction of the Barça players has been immediate. They have approached the opponent and have begun to embrace the players one by one giving them consolation.

"A gesture that has been appreciated by the technical staff of the FC Persimmon team and by the spectators who have applauded the players of the Infantil B when they have retired to the locker room."

Take a bow, lads.
